How far in advance can I book rentals or purchase items?
We ask for customers to reserve their items 2 weeks in advance before arrival to ensure availability. For orders placed less than 48 hours of your arrival date we encourage you to contact us by telephone. There is a possibility that we can accommodate last minute orders but we can’t guarantee the items will be available.
How much is the delivery and pick up cost?
Delivery is FREE with a minimum order of $55 (before tax), per delivery date. A $15 delivery fee will be charged on orders any less than $55 (before tax), per delivery date. Pick up is FREE.
Can I pick up my items?
Items cannot be picked up. For your convenience we’ll deliver your order straight to you.
When will my items be delivered?
Items will be delivered on the date of your arrival or on the scheduled delivery date that was provided. We deliver items on any day of the week with the exception of the following Holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
What are the delivery hours?
We offer delivery and pickup between the hours of 9-5, seven days a week. We’ll try to accommodate special requests with delivery times, yet we’ll need to know in advance and will make every effort to accommodate the request.
Do you deliver to hotels, condos, or homes?
Yes. Items will be dropped off at your rental location or residence. We ask our customers to be as detailed as possible with the name of the resort/property, property manager contact information, address, unit#, etc. Most rental items do not require for you to be there at the time of delivery or pickup. If you’re unable to be there we will leave your items in an appropriate location either inside or outside the premises. If we feel the location isn’t reasonable to leave the items, we will contact you to set up or reschedule the delivery at a mutually agreed upon time.
Is the equipment safe and clean?
Our equipment is thoroughly checked and sanitized before and after each rental. In addition, our products are registered to ensure we are informed of any manufacturer recalls or safety issues. At the time of delivery items are to be checked by the consumer to ensure all items are received and we are to be notified promptly if items are missing or damaged. ALL rental items are to be returned non-damaged, clean, and in good condition as it was received.
What if I’m not satisfied with the condition of the equipment?
We are “Shore” you’ll be satisfied with the condition of the equipment. But if you’re not pleased then we require to be notified as soon as possible or within 12 hours of delivery. Defective items will be replaced with a suitable item as soon as possible. No exchanges are made due to lack of interest or inclement weather.
How often are products replaced?
Quality and service is what we strive for to ensure the best customer satisfaction. All of our products are new or gently used condition. Also, we monitor all our products for wear and tear to ensure all rental products are in good working conditions.
When will my card be charged?
Cards will be charged when you complete and process your order. The payment reserves your equipment.
What forms of payment does Shore Thing accept?
We except all major credit cards. We do not except cash or checks.
What is your cancellation policy?
You can cancel all or part of your order for a full or partial refund, excluding the service fee, if cancellation is received 48 hours prior to delivery date. Orders cancelled less than 48 hours-notice before delivery date will be charged a $25 cancellation fee. No refunds will be made on or after the reservation date or due to inclement weather.
Do you have a hurricane policy?
In the event that your beach equipment and supplies order is directly impacted by a named hurricane while you are on vacation and the local officials ordered a mandatory evacuation, items are to be returned to Shore Thing Beach Rental Supplies and Services. They may not be taken with you and you are required to contact Shore Thing to arrange pick up of the items rented. A pro-rated refund or credit will be issued to you based on the amount of time remaining on your rental agreement.
Do you set up rental items on the beach?
No, we do not set up items on the beach. We deliver the items to your property so you can come and go as you please with your gear.
